Master Of The Hall’s victory at Huntingdon yesterday was heartening as it proved that me napping him at Cheltenham on New Year’s Day wasn’t far out, he does stay and he does jump well but perhaps he is better suited to flat tracks and Aintree would be better for him than the Cheltenham Festival. Nicky Henderson has kicked started his good run again and has short price runners at both Ffos Las and Warwick this afternoon.

Master Of The Hall
It’s been a very busy past few days which included being a guest at Yvonne Rowe’s charity ball on Sunday where she raised over £10,000 for Cancer Research, a sterling effort and a great day for the Rowes as husband Richard saddled Tatenen to victory at Ascot. While we are on the subject of Ascot, I’m sure Notus De La Tour will improve for the run next time out.

The GBGB Greyhound Awards was a superb bash, with all the unsung heroes getting the recognition they deserve including Kennelhand Of The Year, Clive Stanley. But really his award is for every kennelhand in the country who work through all weathers, at all hours, driving many, many, miles for a very little wage.

Preparations for the new look Morning Line have been all systems go in the office and it won’t lack through hard graft, none of which can be credited to me as I am off doing other graft which I had put on the back-burner for a year, still I digress and on to today. Been checking the early markets and three backed horses 1.10 Warwick First In The Queue, 3.25 Warwick Danberry and 2.25 Ffos Las Don't Turn Back.

My selections though are Ballinteni who is better judged on his second to Iolith and Organisateur earlier in the year and the hope it isn’t too soft at Ffos Las at 1.20 for him as that form alone is very impressive. Then Fiddlededee had plenty of friends and some when he was last entered to run only for the meeting to be abandoned. Not hard to see when on his last run he mixed it with Rock On Ruby and Megastar. He runs in the Ffos Las 1.50. If allowed to dominate I also like Corlande at 3.35.
