Sahpresa Looking for More Group One Glory in Falmouth Stakes Trainer Rodolphe Collet is hopeful that Sahpresa can record a third Group One victory at Newmarket in the £160,000 Etihad Airways Falmouth Stakes (3pm), highlight of the second day of the Piper Heidsieck July Festival, Friday, 8th July. A total of 13 contenders remain in the tremendous mile contest, the fourth race in the Filly & Mare category of the British Champions Series, following yesterday's six-day confirmation stage. Sahpresa has already triumphed in the latest two renewals of the mile Group One Kingdom Of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes on Newmarket's Rowley Mile course and the six-year-old looked better than ever when easily landing a seven-furlong Group Three on her seasonal return at Longchamp on 4th June. Collet reported today: “Sahpresa is coming over to Newmarket and she is very well at the moment. I was very pleased with her victory at Longchamp because she was very impressive that day and has improved since that run. “She has obviously won twice on the Rowley Mile but she will be my first runner on the July Course, so it's a new experience for both if us. Sahpresa has won on a variety of ground and the only going that she hates is heavy so I am sure that she will have no concerns at Newmarket. “It is going to be an interesting race but Sahpresa looks very well and I am hopeful that she can win another Group One at Newmarket.” Sahpresa's main opposition in the Etihad Airways Falmouth Stakes may come from the Aidan O'Brien-trained Misty For Me, who registered a fourth Group One success with a stunning victory over Midday in the Pretty Polly Stakes at the Curragh on 25th June. Globe-trotting eight-year-old River Jetez has filled the runner-up spot in Group One contests in Dubai and Singapore for trainer Mike de Kock already this year, while Richard Hannon may be represented by last year's Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Cherry Hinton Stakes winner Memory. The Saeed bin Suroor-trained Antara produced a string of excellent efforts in Group One company last term and started the current season with a comfortable victory over First City, from the stable of David Simcock, in the Group Three Princess Elizabeth Stakes at Epsom Downs on 3rd June.
