05/08/13

Soll is likely to get another shot at the Grand National next year after finishing a respectable seventh on debut back in April in the race won by Auroras Encore.

Jo Hughes stable star went off at odds of 33/1 in the Aintree betting in April but took advantage of his low weight to get round and finish the 4m4f contest.

After impressing in point-to-point races, Soll made his debut under rules at Newcastle in January 2011 where he made a winning start, scoring by 10 lengths in a novice hurdle contest in the North East.

However, despite his successful run over hurdles, he has yet to race over them since that success at Newcastle, as a setback not long after the win ruled him out for the rest of the season.

His return did not come until December of that year, when he made his first start over fences in Ireland at Punchestown.

In a beginner’s chase over 3m on heavy ground, he came second to Thomas Cooper’s Son Amix. The official distance was only a neck, while the pair were well clear of the rest of the runners including the 6/5 favourite in the betting, Fully Funded.

A win over fences soon followed at Down Royal a couple of months later before he took a shot at the National Hunt Chase at the Cheltenham Festival. Unfortunately for connections, he was brought down at the 12th fence in the race won by Teaforthree.

Soll was always prominent in the Grand National earlier this year. He made two just two errors at fences 9 and 25 respectively under Mark Grant, which at the time did not seem to take too much out of him. It was in the final couple of furlongs when he weakened, dropping back to seventh place over the line.

BC GAME is currently one of the most prominent Bitcoin casinos, having launched in 2017, they are excited to announce that they are now the primary sponsors of Leicester City Football Club.
