Last season winner: Special Tiara won the 2017 Queen Mother Champion Chase.

Highlight of the Day: The Duchess of Cornwall will host Ladies Day by presenting the trophy to the winning owner, jockey and trainer of the Queen’s Mother Champion Chase of 2018.

Ladies Day takes place the second day of the festival, Wednesday. Dressing up in a fine dress and showcasing hats in style is what this day is about. There will be dress-up contest and the winner will take a Mini car home.

The event will be broadcast live through TBC channel.

Dress Up

Ladies Day is not your regular racing day at Cheltenham. Women and fashion take all the attention alongside horses. From hats to shoes, to scarves and gloves and even purses; it’s all about dressing up in a splash of color.

This 2018 there’s a competition only for women and the prize is a Mini One Car from W.O. Lewis. To enter the competition you must sport your best outfit, it can be epoch style or modern. Your pick! Just make those eyeballs pop. Winners will be selected randomly and will be announced on the big screen overlooking the Parade Ring throughout the day.

Live Music Events

Live shows will take place in field. Folk duo “Taylor and the Mason”, jazz band “The Hipcats” and “The Lucky 15’s” will make the main event.
The “Chip Shop Boys” will make their regular appearance. Other performances will include the Irish band “All Folked Up”, and “The Wickerman” from Liverpool.

All performances will take place throughout the day and in between races.

Betting Tips

RSA Chase – Presenting Percy and Willoughby Court are two previous winners at Cheltenham’s past edition who are expected to be in this race. Percy would be the top favorite for his consistency over fences, but Willoughby Court has just had an incredible winter.

The Queen Mother Champion Chase – The unbeaten Altior stands as strong favorite. But keep an eye on possible contenders Douvan, Yorkhill and Un de Sceaux. Douvan was the favorite last year has not had a good season, and is only rated 50-50 for the lineup.

Cross Country Chase – Cause of Causes won last year and is said to return to hold the title.
