Sarafina gave Alan de Royer-Dupre his sixth win in the Prix de Diane at Chantilly yesterday afternoon.
The filly, who was sent off the 5-4 favourite for the race, got first run on her stablemate Rosanara, and she stayed on well in the straight to win the French classic by a comfortable length and a half.
After the race, William Hill cut Sarafina from 33-1 to 14-1 for the Prix de L’Arc de Triomphe.
“It was a very impressive win by Sarafina,” said Hills spokesman Tony Kenny “however, she’ll need to show a lot more if she’s going to challenge the likes of Workforce and Fame And Glory in the Arc in October. ”
