Tanya's Blog - 13th September 2010 Sariska just knew too much and dug her heels in for one last time yesterday, she was brilliant on her day and will always be remembered for her two Oaks victories. Midday though is now one of the sport’s superstars and I wish her well at the Breeders’ Cup. As for the Arc I am not going to rush in to back Behkabad just yet value may rise from other quarters in the next couple of weeks. A day of heaven for me yesterday, racing, cricket and NFL what more does one want, but how bad were the San Francisco 49ers? To make matters worse the Denver Broncos obviously came out in sympathy and played just as bad and they are both meant to come to Britain and entertain the crowds at Wembley! A low key start to a week full of promise, the Western Meeting at Ayr is a favourite to many especially with the big field handicaps. Poet’s Place was fuelled by a massive gamble when winning the Portland on Saturday it will be some achievement if he can double up in the William Hill Ayr Gold Cup, at present I am in the Hawkeyethenoo camp. Let me flag up the fact I am still out of form a sporadic winner here or there. Had Zowington at Sandown at 12-1 but that was cancelled out by the fact it was the only one of six selections. My eyes have lit up at the prospect of William Buick riding for Chris Wall in the 2:10 at Redcar, not much improvement needed from Mon Visage so I am going to keep a close eye on that one. Checking out the exchanges Pobs Trophy is a backed horse in Redcar’s 4:10.
TANYA'S POINTERS Saeed Bin Suroor has had ten winners from his last 24 runners William Haggas has had six winners from his last 22 runners David Allan has ridden six winners from his last 15 rides for Tim Easterby William Buick is simply awesome with six winners from his last 11 rides
