Tanya's Blog - 14th October 2010 It is impossible to get the perfect cup of coffee twice. Was having a craving this morning for the hot drink as the workload has been especially heavy over the last few days but the granules were congealed in the tin in the kitchen and the canteen came up with one of their milky offerings, not a great start.
The anticipation for the weekend’s action is immense, Nick Lightfoot whose dulcet tones some of you may recognise when voicing over replay, has stated all his Christmas’s have come at once. Judging by some of the emails I have received most of you share his view. All I want is for the ground to be suitable for Pocket Aces at Cheltenham so my better half stops boxing-walking! Graham Lee and Timmy Murphy were riding inspired at Wetherby yesterday which points me in the direction of Wizard Of Edge in Wincanton’s 3.50. Ron Hodges runner has a good course record and can cope with any going. Ryan Moore and Jeremy Noseda teamed up for a good winner yesterday at Lingfield and they can do the same at Nottingham this afternoon with Elas Diamond. Ryan can then go on to win Nottingham’s 3.40 with Highland Park. Off now to sort out the weekend’s Channel 4 Racing programme.
POINTERS Phillip Hobbs has had six winners and four seconds from his last 13 runners Paul Nicholls has had four winners a second and two thirds from his last nine runners Richard Johnson has had four winners and six seconds from his last 12 rides Henry Cecil is boasting a 33% strike rate at present from his last 18 runners Luca Cumani has had five winners from his last 13 runners and when teaming up with Kieren Fallon they have a 50% strike rate from their last 8 Brighton is on today and two trainers to follow as flagged up by Racing Post’s signposts page 24 are Jeremy Noseda with four winners from his last six runners at the Sussex venue and John Gosden with three winners from his last five
