Put out the bunting, sound the trumpets, three cheers, Cheltenham is back! Live on today is the return of the hallowed National Hunt course, many have been counting down the days, now it’s just hours soon it will be minutes.

Sizing Europe
Before getting carried away there is a big weekend card at Newmarket to contend with. All eyes on the coverage and weather watch to see if the ground will receive any rain, then soften and in turn suit Dream Ahead.

Rewind to yesterday and any Gold Cup dreams Sizing Europe may have taken a dent, and there’ll have to be a rethink, meanwhile Loosen My Load’s career goes from strength to strength and is a must for any ten to follow lists.

Eight races from Newmarket, with my racecard selections as follows; 1:45 Cape Rambler, 2:20 Suhaili, 2:55 Loving Spirit, 3:30 Tazeez, 4:05 Timepiece, 4:40 Dever Dream, 5:15 Leviathan and 5:50 Ottoman Empire.

Big thumbs up out of those selections go to Tazeez at 3:30 as he was due to run in the Champion Stakes and instead has taken the nine furlong option and Dever Dream in the 4:40 after a solid performance at Doncaster last time.
