Tanya's Blog - 21th December 2010

Kempton hosts some familiar names on, for them, an unfamiliar surface to compete on. Still it goes to serve a very valuable purpose. I’m especially keen to see Noland as he has been off for 742 days and he still has an entry in the King George on Sunday. My selection of the day at Kempton is American Trilogy in the 3.20, with a tremendous chance for a confidence booster for a previous Cheltenham Festival winner.

Southwell’s card starts at 12:35, David Evans and Cathy Gannon are a formidable team and I have to mimic the Racing Post in trying to get some value in the first race in order to get some momentum for the remainder of the day. Nazreef may not be halted on his quest for a perfect four at the track despite the six pound penalty. Hughie Morrison’s runner goes at 2:05. Finally there has to be each-way value again with Yossi, second in his last four starts, you never know he could get his head in front this time.

Fingers tightly crossed for a thaw to come in to help Kempton’s turf course.
