Captain's Blog - 23rd December 2010

It was nice to bag a second winner in as many days yesterday here on the blog to leave the monthly score looking a little better. There will be no more selections now until Boxing Day where meetings seem to be dropping left right and centre, but if all else fails there should be some all-weather action at Wolverhampton for us to have a go at. As far as the blog is concerned I am going to be with you every day bar Christmas day. I like blogging and I like to blog and I am more than happy to to keep you updated on my thoughts through the festive season.

Our Christmas really does start today as we host a get together with some of our neighbours and share some good cheer and a drop of the strong stuff. In order for that and the rest of Christmas to take place we need to head to Tesco’s to get the necessary provisions. I also need to get to the butchers to pick up our Turkey for the big day. Once those jobs are done we can settle back and relax for a few days. I am due to be working on Boxing Day but that gig is very much in the lap of the Gods. At the moment Kempton is 50/50 to go ahead, I am four miles away from the track and it froze pretty hard last night with all the lying snow now frozen and there is only a mild thaw on the horizon. To be honest I would not be over optimistic but my cup is usually half empty.

A short blog today folks because if I do not get to Tesco’s soon the place is going to be a heaving mass of Christmas shoppers and that prospect really does fill me with dread. All the best for today lets hope the Sunbury weather relents somewhat.

All the best.
