Tanya's Blog - 26th February 2011

Shamefully, or perhaps not, while Nick Luck, John Francome, Simon Holt and Tom Segal go off for breakfast after The Morning Line at Kempton. I’m trying to tune the press room TV to show Pakistan v Sri Lanka in the World Cup Cricket. A monumental match which is a must see.

There’s a brisk breeze outside with fine rain falling, it’s a day to wrap up. I’m glad I’m parked up already with the prospect of England v France at nearby Twickenham the traffic and public transport is going to be ultra busy.

On driving in this morning I passed Thorpe Park, with the spectacular rides silhouetted as dawn breaks, yet even sitting on one of those won’t be as thrilling as the ride Paddy Brennan will get on NACARAT. I have to agree with Tom Segal, he is class, and there is not one horse in the Racing Post Chase other than him who is good enough to finish fourth in a King George. As an each-way selection I’ve gone for the inform Lucinda Russell and SAFARI ADVENTURES, he ran well on the course last time and although a front runner like Nacarat, I just thought he’d keep on to nick a place.

It’s not a great day for finding a winner and mix that with the fact I can’t tip my hat at present, the other horses I like are KUMBESHWAR in the first at Kempton, GILES CROSS in the Eider Chase and COUNTY ZEN when I’m driving home.

Hunger pains are getting the better of me and I’m off to get some much needed breakfast.
