Sorry for the delay but have been smothering myself with suntan lotion, and you should to if you are heading outside on what is a superbly glorious day. The mowers are out on Sandown’s paddock as every blade of grass is meticulously crafted into place. The band is doing a sound check while Mac and I are struggling to concentrate researching our stats. A light breeze blows hints of frying burgers into our paddock commentary position.

The band which I believe are the stars from The Commitments are singing a tune with the words ‘woh lucky lady’. Many of you are hoping trainer Suzy Smith is the lucky lady as she brings Aimigayle from her Sussex yard to Esher in Surrey. Flagged up by some heavyweights of the tipping world including Pricewise, the fate of plenty of Easter holidays and eggs will be riding on AIMIGAYLE and Colin Bolger. Time to own up to the fact she is my selection as well, I thought like most she ran a stormer at Cheltenham behind Holmwood Legend. I will be having a saver on Major Malarkey as if you cross out his last two starts he should be a third of the price.

It must be me but I can’t understand why TATANIANO isn’t odds-on. He could have lined up at Cheltenham in the Queen Mother Champion Chase and would have been a single figure price. Perhaps its because the only time we’ve seen him this year was when he was turned over by Gauvain. I respect all what the others have achieved this year but a TATANIANO in top form is in a different league to his rivals today.

Intriguing the betting for the Sandown 1.30, flip-floping favourites with Clerk’s Choice now striding away at the head of the betting. Sanctuaire has drifted from 4-5 to 5-4 giving me concerns as he is my racecard selection.

There has been a deluge of money for Kazzene in Sandown’s 2.05, he has halved in price it has been heartening to watch. Yet I have gone to the well once more time with DANTARI this time though it is over a more suitable trip, 2m 3f instead of the longer version of 3m last time.
At Haydock I’m hoping for a big day for Keith and James Reveley with CATEGORICAL at 3:30 and EYRE SQUARE at 4:00.
