Captain's Blog - 27th May 2011

Workforce got the job done last night at Sandown Park. He beat inferiors as he should have and this will have put him spot on for bigger targets later this summer. His ability is very much intact and so is his propensity to hang left, but this does not stop him from being able to run faster than other racehorses and that is what counts. Ryan Moore was typically downbeat aftertwards when interviewed on , indeed he terminated the interview mid stream, but we have come to expect little more from him. If he wins the Derby hopefully he will be a lot more forthcoming after the race, but I very much doubt it.

I am at home today after a long day in the studio yesterday. My daughter will dictate the agenda no doubt, but swimming is very much the focal point of the day for her. She is doing well, and today will have a picture taken underwater which is great, but emerging without lungs full of water is in essence the key to this particular project, the photo will be a nice by product. We have to sing Nursery Rhymes at the end of the lesson which include the old favourite Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and the rarely heard Ba Ba Black Sheep which the PC brigade have clearly not been able to ban from childrens' swimming lessons yet. Rather like Polytrack, that PC mob are everywhere.

A short blog today folks as time has beaten me. I will be back tomorrow with a look at the excellent action on this Saturday.

All the best.
