Joint Favourites for King George as Nathaniel Joins the Field
18/07/11

St Nicholas Abbey and Workforce are 7-4 joint-favourites with Coral for Saturday's King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes, following the latest entrystage for the Ascot showpiece. Rewilding is next at 11-4, ahead of Nathaniel, a 9-1 shot after connections supplemented the three-year-old.

"Workforce has been the best backed horse in the last 24 hours, with a combination of the rain-softened ground and a positive gallop report ensuring punters are willing to forgive him his disappointing run in last year's King George," said Coral's David Stevens.

"If he lines up on Saturday, the Arc winner is likely to start favourite, but in what has been a fantastic flat season so far, he will face top class rivals in St Nicholas Abbey and Rewilding, while the presence of Nathaniel gives us the first chance to compare the Classic generation against their elders," added Stevens.
