Tanya's Blog - 27th September 2011

Forgive me is it nearly October? With the glorious sunshine and hot temperatures it feels more like July! What is also barmy is the result of yesterday’s Professional Jockeys Association Golf Day sponsored by . My better half won the individual prize beating Simon Brydon the chief of online and my boss on count back. Sorry Simon. Although the better half couldn’t rally his team who included Joe Mercer, Paul Ritchie and Tom Segal to more than mid-division.

I missed out on a caddying job as I preferred to play catch-up with the NFL watching a recording of the Pittsburgh @ Indianapolis game. A tale of unforced errors, if these continue within either side, neither are going to the Superbowl.

Dare To Dance

Note the ground at Ayr, it’s soft, very soft, Dare To Dance who gave the Cambridgeshire a big swerve on Saturday turns up in Western Scotland for the 4.40, just a heads up as I don’t like tipping odds-on, instead I will be having an each-way on Waldvogal, but that is me personally.

TWO TURTLE DOVES appears to have every chance of completing a hat-trick, he ran from stall one on his last visit to Chepstow and converted it to a win, Harry Bentley remains in the saddle and all looks set.

OVERBRANCH has run twelve times to date at Sedgefield with a good second back on September 6, in total she has recorded three wins, three seconds and a third at the course. Hopefully she will do enough to sneak a place at around 8-1 each-way.

POINTERS

Roger Varian has had four wins, a second and two thirds from his last 12 runners

Charlie Longsdon has had six winners from his last ten runners (three winners from his last five chasers)

Richard Hughes had had four winners from his last six rides

Signposts, page 18 of the Racing Post flags up that when A P McCoy rides Manager Hanagment they are unbeaten, today they go in Sedgefield’s 3.20

A P McCoy has won on five of his last 14 rides at Sedgefield

Kevin Ryan has had three winners from his last seven runners at Sedgefield

Four of the last six favourites have won Ayr’s 2.10
