Captain's Blog - 12th March 2012

Cheltenham funds were secured on Saturday when Invincible Ash won for us here on the blog at 20/1. A nice winner for those of you who follow the Nag Me feature on Mark Your Card as well and now we can enter the Cheltenham cauldron with some confidence behind us.

Yes the Festival starts tomorrow and for many this is the greatest week in Racing. All the talking will finally stop, well to a degree, and the action will begin tomorrow afternoon. Of course it will all be live on and I will be fulfilling my usual Festival role in the booth. I will also be dealing with Kempton on Wednesday night, so a busy week for me, but always an exciting one.

My plans as far as the blog are concerned over the Festival are as follows. I hope to have my blog posted by 10.00am every day and then will post an update by 12.00 whence there may be some extra selections. The update is really a chance for my instincts to take over from pure form analysis and just sometimes your instincts can come up with a gem or two. I am looking forward to the week and then to collapsing on Friday night with a beer in front of some quality Rugby League.

Please tune into today for the final Cheltenham preview where no doubt much discusssion will surround the so called good things at this years Festival and I am sure the boys will put up some big priced selections for you as well. Don't miss it!

I am planning to take it easy today and spend my time with my little girl whom I will not see much of through the week and then it will be an early night before donning my tweed trousers come out for the forst time this year.

I will bid you farewell now in anticipation of a superb week of action on .

All the best and see you tomorrow.
