Tanya's Blog - Friday 15th June 2012 William Haggas is hoping that Lordofthehouse can go on to run in the John Smith’s Northumberland Plate so no wonder the horse is favourite for York’s 3.05pm. He coped well enough with soft ground at Thirsk on his penultimate start, then went on to win on the firm at Haydock. This will be a good barometer for connections to find out whether they should continue up the A1 to Newcastle at the end of the month. Sohraab has been getting stuck in more traffic problems than me of late. I seem to back him every time he runs, as well. Once again at Epsom in the Investec Dash he was penned in at a crucial time. However Ryan Moore now takes the mount and here’s hoping a low draw, with all the runners fanning out across the course, he gets a clear run through with no excuses! At the time of writing Green Howard seems to be the only horse being backed. He won on his seasonal reappearance at Catterick and has only finished once out of the frame in seven races, winning four. He can handle soft and can continue improving. Before I wrote this blog I had just put the finishing touches to my Daily Record column for tomorrow, the selections will be saved until the morning. Looking ahead to Royal Ascot I couldn’t believe how many horses that appealed and so many on Tuesday with most at big prices! Remember to log on here all next week. Tomorrow’s Morning Line guest is Amy Ryan, who will hopefully give us some insight into Pea Shooter in York’s 3.10 tomorrow and much more. Euro 2012 continues to be fabulous with England playing Sweden tonight – hard one to call?! Ukraine and France is bound to be a cracker as well.
