Scotland Test for Henderson Hurdler

horse racing tipster

My Tent Or Yours is expected to return to action on Saturday in the Scottish Champion Hurdle at Ayr, where he is one of the favourites in the betting.

Nicky Henderson’s runner had to settle for second at Cheltenham during the festival when Jezki, who also runs in the JP McManus silks, edged him out in the run in to the line by a narrow margin.

The Champion Trainer has decided to put a hood on his horse for his Scotland assignment in the bid to settle the seven-year old better.

My Tent or Yours
My Tent or Yours will face a maximum of 20 rivals in which he will have to carry top weight of 11-10. His defeat at Cheltenham was his first loss of the campaign. He opened up at Newcastle in November where he won the Fighting Fifth Hurdle, beating Cockney Sparrow by three lengths.

A return to action followed a month later in the Christmas Hurdle at Kempton. Henderson’s hurdler took on The New One and beat his rival in a close finish.

Due to ground conditions through January and February, My Tent or Yours made his final Cheltenham Festival preparation by scoring in a national hunt flat race at Kempton.

Montbazon is second best in the market for the Scottish Champion Hurdle. He was third in the Vincent O’Brien County Handicap Hurdle last month.

Alan King’s mount returned to action at Newbury in February after just short of two years off the track through injury.

The now seven-year old won two races over hurdles as novice and was fourth in the 2012 Supreme Novices’ Hurdle.

Aintree winner Court Minstrel is set to take his chance at Ayr. He was successful in the Maxilead Metals Handicap Hurdle in Merseyside where he beat 21 runners, returning at a SP of 16-1.
