Found A Fifty demonstrated remarkable bravery in a thrilling finish.

Gordon Elliott’s Arkle runner-up had previously seen the form of that race confirmed by Cheltenham Festival third, Il Etait Temps, on Thursday. With Quilixios and Nickle Back setting a strong pace, the seven-year-old’s stamina was certain to come into play in the closing stages.

Both Jack Kennedy aboard Found A Fifty and Nigel Twiston-Davies’ Master Chewy maneuvered their way into contention, and it soon became evident that they would battle it out for victory. As Quilixios faded after two jumps, there was little to separate the pair at the last fence. It appeared that Master Chewy would hold on for glory, but Found A Fifty (the 11-8 favorite) refused to yield. In a titanic struggle near the finish line, Found A Fifty rallied gamely and surged back to claim victory.

Gordon Elliott expressed his delight: “We’ve had a great season, hitting the crossbar all week, and what’s not winning is still performing very well. I’m thrilled to witness this horse’s triumph, and I extend my congratulations to owners Noel and Valerie Moran. It’s a momentous day, and Found A Fifty proved to be a tough and talented competitor.”
