D'Bai
D'Bai - sporting the second colours - was a good second behind The Tin Man at Windsor in May over six furlongs, a furlong shy of today's seven-furlong trip. He joined Larchmont Lad inside the final furlong towards the far side as Tabarrak challenged towards the outside. Charlie Appleby's gelding ran on gamely to defeat the second Larchmont Lad by a head.

Buick said: "He had a good winter in Dubai and won the seven-furlong handicap very well.

"Charlie (Appleby) used the Windsor race as a prep for this and it's worked well. He travelled really nice through and I would have liked to have had another horse to follow and to wait a little bit longer to be honest but he stuck on well in fairness to him.

"He's a very talented horse."
