Theatre Guide destroys his rivals to win under jockey Paddy Brennan for trainer Colin Tizzard and owner Jean Bishop

The two Jean Bishop-owned horses work together so this wide-margin win was a confidence booster ahead of Cue Card's Timico Cheltenham Gold Cup hopes.

It was also a poignant victory following the death of the late Bob Bishop, who passed away just days after Cue Card's King George triumph in December.

Le Reve edged into the lead turning for home, but Theatre Guide had made ground on the outside and shot clear after the second-last, eventually coming home 10 lengths ahead of Opening Batsman.

Roc d'Apsis was a further three-quarters of a length back in third, while favourite Thomas Brown never looked comfortable at the rear of the field and unshipped Noel Fehily at the 11th fence.

Brennan said: "He was awesome today, it worked out brilliantly.

"He has so much confidence in himself, and a big thanks today goes to Tom George. I couldn't ride him the last day and I promised the owners I would today, then Roc d'Apsis won well and got into the race, so I owe this to Tom George."

Brennan rode Gold Cup hope Cue Card in a piece of work at the track before racing, and added: "I was like a kid in a sweet shop, I was buzzing and it helped me on this fella, I was so full of confidence."
