| In 1779, two gentlemen
conceived the idea of a race to establish which horse was the best
of its generation. Little did they realise when they tossed a coin
to name the race that they were shaping the future of flat racing
and breeding, Derby Day, stands apart from ordinary sporting events
and represents the pinnacle of sport. |

| Chepstow Racecourse, the youngest
Racecourse in Britain, was opened in 1926 and stages racing all the
year round both on the flat and over the jumps. Since that historic

Races with meetings held on Leith Sands, the move to the attractive

| Huntingdon Racecourse is steeped

racing stretching back more than three and a half centuries. The flagship
of the Racecourse is the 'Peterborough Steeplechase'. Held in November,
