Not as much rain is falling as expected, which could concern both Doncaster and Aintree let alone connections of the horses hoping to run there.
Pretty impressive yesterday, at no point was I ever in doubt on losing on my ante post wager for Pakistan to win the ICC World Cup, but I feel both them and New Zealand did me proud at least giving me the chance to hedge out of my bet by reaching the semi-final stage.
On to the action today and there isn’t too much to report but I am heartened to see support in the early betting markets for THE SNAIL in Ludlow’s 4.05. He is half his paper price, he has won three of his six races at the course and having tipped him a few times this season I am keen to recoup my losses. Another horses earning support in the betting markets is I HAVE DREAMED he is around 11-4 favourite at the time of writing and as I have yet to get my flat race eye in, I am keen to stick to the jumps for at least one day.
I had a tremendous time in Newmarket on Tuesday, really enjoying visiting David Simcock and Sir Mark Prescott’s stables, Dream Ahead looks huge, he’s grown and he’s very laid back. Hooray looked immaculate, full of condition and I would love to see her run and win the QIPCO 1000 Guineas.
