    Tanya's Blog - 16th April 2011

NEPTUNE COLLONGES, don’t laugh, he’s my selection in the Coral Scottish National. The perception is that he is in to keep the weights down for his stable companion The Minack. However I don’t think The Minack jumps well enough, and we don’t even know he stays! Neptune Collonges is ridden by the champ A P McCoy, and he could try to lead all the way, in my mind the only dangers to him are the 1-2 in the Grimthorpe Chase, ALWAYS RIGHT and LOTHIAN FALCON and I’m bold enough to do a combination forecast.

Yesterday the blog had success with Ferdy Murphy and his Watch My Back, time to side with the trainer again at 4.30 with I’M DELILAH, so unlucky at Aintree last time when hampered. If you are silly like me why not try putting in a forecast with PROFESSER HIGGINS.

Another horse who didn’t have the best of fortune on his last run was TEXAS HOLDEM at Hexham, going well when brought down three out, he could get his compensation in the first at Ayr.

Will the real SANCTUAIRE come forward, he certainly could make his presence felt in the Scottish Champion Hurdle. It might just be too much for Overturn to try and lead all the way under top weight.

Newbury is just a watching brief for me but I will be dabbling each-way on BRICK RED in the Spring Cup at 3.45.
