Tanya's Blog - 21st May 2011 Overdose is drifting, I can’t believe it, he could touch 3-1 very shortly or even bigger. Massive value in my eyes but I have been out of form lately. OVERDOSE is one of my selections today, he’ll lead all the way, burning off all his rivals. OK his form doesn’t amount to much but in recent years the sprinting category in Britain hasn’t been the strongest, often dominated by just one horse. Take out Overdose and many are giving due consideration to Sole Power, a horse that those same people weren’t even willing to take 100-1 in a Nunthorpe not so long ago. Last time Kingsgate Native visited the winners enclosure was in this race 12 months ago, he has met with many defeats since. Markab needs another furlong and another month before he starts showing his best form. Tangerine Trees could contest early but the value could be with both three-year-olds, Stone Of Folca and New Planet. Particularly the latter seeing as though John Quinn, his trainer has just started to fire in the winners, Hawk Mountain won for Nick Luck last night. Another sprint that has taken my eye is York’s 3.40 where I am going to combine BARNEY MCGREW, SWISS FRANC and JOHANNES, who were all held up in their runs last time at the Knavesmire, at least one or two of the three could burst through late for a win and perhaps a forecast.
