Captain's Blog - 17th December 2011

This is going to be short and sweet today folks. I am in the office and have just finished recording a couple of interviews for Mark Your Card and I now have 40 minutes until we start the programme. dave Nevison is my guest on the show, he is not here yet but he generally cuts it fine! Maybe he will come in straight from one of the many Christmas parties he has been attending this week!

Once MYC is completed we will be bringing you all the action from Haydock which passed an inspection at 10.00am. Conditions are going to be testing to say the least and the whole meeting comes with a wealth warning as far as punting is concerned, but that sort of thing has rarely put punters off in the past. Peter Naughton and Graham Cunningham will be your hosts for the day and hopefully they will point us in the direction of a few winners

Given that I am in the Studio all day I am beginning to think that it is a mistake to have already polished off my homemade sarnies. Hunger simply got the better of me at 10.30am and I could not resist temptation. I am not going to beat myself up about it after all how many of you could sit and look at Spam salad sandwiches and resist their appeal?

We have had three winners in a row here on the blog which is great, but at 1/5 6/4 and 11/10 we are not getting anywhere nearer purchasing a holiday home in Barbados, at least what we have got is still intact and that is the main thing.

I need to crack on now folks. I wish I had a sandwich left!

Today's Selection

2.55 Lingfield - Trend Line (each way 13/2 Stan James )
