Captain's Blog - Thursday 6th December Market Rasen has fallen foul of the weather and as I write this I am sat in front of Sky Sports News waiting for word from Wincanton. If the meeting gets the go-ahead I will be heading to the studio to help with our coverage. If it is off I may embark upon some Christmas shopping. I would much rather be sat in a warm studio covering the West Country action than trudging around the shops of Kingston, but my fate is in the hands of the powers that be at Wincanton and I await my fate. Stop Press: Racing is ON at Wincanton. I must apologise for the lack of a blog yesterday. I am not going to lie, I sat down in front of the cricket at 8.00am, having taken my daughter to nursery. My laptop was on my lap (just where it should be!) and just as I was about to start typing I fell asleep. By the time I woke up they were just about going to post for the first race of the day! I had not realized just how tired I was and I hardly ever just nod off in front of the TV. Anyway I feel a load better today and there is no danger of me dropping off again. As far as my selection today is concerned I am quite keen on Corporal Maddox in the 2.25 at Lingfield. This horse won a claimer at the track last time out in a decent time. He also overcame a wide trip and trouble in-running. Given how well he went through that Claimer a return to six furlongs will be no problem at all and he rates as a decent each-way bet at the 7/1 that is available with Betvictor this morning. Have a good day.
Today's selection: 2.25 Lingfield: Corporal Maddox ( each way 7/1 Bet Victor)
