I was delighted to get Cheltenham off to a winning start with an in-running lay of My Tent Or Yours at 1.52 in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle and Simonsig went in for us, albeit at a short price. Time now to press home the advantage, which could be interpreted as time to give it all back, but let's hope not.

My number one selection is Boston Bob in the RSA Chase. I know he only scrambled home last time in Ireland, but he promises to be a much better horse on decent ground and this has always been the main target.

Paul Townend is decent jockey and his mount looks very much up to scratch. He can give us a real run for our money.

My second selection comes in the form of Chatterbox, who runs in the Neptune Investment Novices Hurdle. His defeat of My Tent Or Yours looked good after the Betfair Hurdle but is even better now after that horse finished second in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle yesterday. The fact that there is some top-class opposition in the form of The New One and Pont Alexandre means that there will be a little bit more juice in the price as regards Chatterbox.

Essentially he has top class form and has done nothing wrong and warrants support at the likely odds.

Finally in the Fred Winter Juvenile Hurdle I think that Totalize looks like a well-handicapped juvenile. He won in good style at Kelso last time out and off a mark of 131.

I believe he is well-treated. The key to his win last time out was that he settled well off a decent pace and he is sure to get a good gallop today as well. Danny Cook is on board and he is an unsung talent of the jumping game, who will be sure to judge the race properly.

I like this horse as an each-way proposition and he is my final selection on day two.
