Ladbrokes Pay out on Paul Hanagan; Dream Ahead Confirmed for Dewhurst 14/10/10
Ladbrokes are paying out on Paul Hanagan as winner of the 2010 Jockeys' Championship.

Spokesman David Williams said: "It's done and dusted as far as we're concerned. The suspension for Hughes and his trip to the States have all but put paid to his aspirations and we reckon the battle is over. Obviously if Richard Hughes pulls off an extraordinary comeback we'll take it on the chin but we think it's time to give the Hanagan fans their money back."
Ladbrokes could feasibly come unstuck as Hughes fired in 3 winners for Richard Hannon on the AW on Wednesday, reducing the deficit to just 7-winners.
There are now just 4-weeks remaining for the season.
The Dubai Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday is being billed in some quarters as the race of the season. I don’t quite subscribe to that but the clash between Frankel and Dream Ahead is certainly a race to look forwards to.
Trainer David Simcock confirmed Dream Ahead would run after a pleasing workout.
"He had a blow. It was very routine, but it went grand and he did what he was asked," said Simcock. “It looks like it's all systems go for Saturday. We're looking forward to it and the distance won't be a problem at all."
On to Thursday’s racing and over the jumps at Wincanton, it could pay to have a small interest on RAPID RETURN in the 2.20. Although this 7-y-o struggles with his breathing, he has come out after an operation and won before and the fact that he has been off for 4-months should be viewed as a positive. Richard Johnson has been booked and that a further indicator of expectation
