Solwhit Heads Quartet for Dobbins & Madigans Hurdle
12/11/10
The Charles Byrnes-trained Solwhit heads a list of four entries for this Sunday’s Dobbins and Madigans Hurdle at Punchestown. The five-time Grade 1 winner, who won last year’s renewal, is rated the 13-8 favourite by William Hill to record back-to back successes in the two miler.

Voler la Vedette, an impressive winner at Punchestown last month, is available at 2-1, while Noel Meade’s Donnas Palm is rated a 3-1 chance in the Grade 1 contest.
The 2007 Champion Hurdler Sublimity, who makes his first start of the season, completes the quartet.
‘Solwhit looks like a worthy favourite, although his lack of match practice may count against him,’ said Hills spokesman Tony Kenny, ‘On the other hand, Voler La Vedette and Donnas Palm have runs under their belts and they look like the obvious dangers.’
Dobbins & Madigans at Punchestown Hurdle (William Hill bet) 13-8 Solwhit, 2-1 Voler La Vedette, 3-1 Donnas Palm, 7-1 Sublimity – Win only
