Fair Along Aims for John Smith's Hurdle Hat-Trick Fair Along is in line to bid for a third successive win in the John Smith's Hurdle at Wetherby on Saturday. The only victories in the last two seasons for Philip Hobbs' stable stalwart have come in this Grade Two contest over three miles and a furlong. And he figures among 14 entries for this year's renewal, in which the 2010 runner-up Kayf Aramis, trained by Nigel Twiston-Davies, is a possible. The Naunton trainer has also put in Pettifour, who took this prize in 2008. Champion trainer Paul Nicholls is considering starting off last year's Cheltenham Gold Cup fourth What A Friend in this race. David Pipe's Ashkazar, George Charlton's Knockara Beau and the Robin Dickin-trained Restless Harry are other interesting possibles. Cantlow, Mobaasher and Moghaayer complete the home contingent. There are four Irish-trained entries - Gordon Elliott's pair of Carlito Brigante and Russian War, and Stuart Crawford's duo of Killyglen and Now This Is It.
